Largest tire...
So, I know how this is all over the F-150 part of the site, but how about for the F-250. Anybody know what the biggest size tire is I can fit on my stock height F-250 with snow plow package front springs? 16" rims... Right now it has 285/75/16 BFGs on it. Thinking I can go a bit bigger...

Its an 08, so you can do that. The 05+ trucks can fit up to a 35 without any lift. On the 99-04 trucks you can get away with about a 33" tire with just the X code springs. You might be able to squeeze in a 34, but might run into some rubbing issues. My truck has 305/70/16 tires on 8" rims and theres not much more room. If I wanted 35s I'd have to add a leveling kit on top of the X code springs.

Plow springs are X code and are the tallest/highest GVW springs they offer. If you need more lift you can get either a 2" mini spring pack ($200) or a 3" shackle lift.
The 305/70/16 tires are the same size as your 285s, just a little wider. The height isn't whats going to kill you, its the width. I wouldn't go with anything wider than a 285 on the stock 7" rims due to wear and structural reasons. My 305s on 8" rims get pretty close to the rear fender liner when I turn. We tried to put a set of 315/75/15 (35/12.5) tires on 10" rims on Firezappers 01 F250. His had the X code springs (the ones that are now under my truck) and we could barely fit them just sitting there, forget about turning them.
If you really want 315s I'd go with a Donahoe mini spring pack since its only $200. They'll fit just fine with your X codes and the spring pack.

That limits you to a 285 series tire then. You can put a wider tire on the stock 7" rims, but it'll have wear problems. Additionally it puts much higher stresses on the bead of both the tire and rim. Check to see what the tire mfg recommends for wheel width. If you don't go with what they recommend and you have a defect in the tire they could choose to not replace it due to misapplication.
