Bottom line, no PSD has EVER gotten anything close to that mileage in town and never will. The only way any 3/4+ ton truck with a diesel will get that kind of mileage around town will be on the back of a tow truck. More realistic numbers for around town are 10-16mpg, highway MIGHT flirt with 20mpg but don't plan on it. Most seem to hang between 14-18mpg on the highway.
Yeah that is BS. I get at best 17 in town and that is me driving like my grandmother. On the highway i can get 18-19's over 70 and 21-22's under 70. Running program from ID on an XCAL II

Towing, expect to always get 40% less than normal.

Ideally, i would like to have a Cummins with an Alison in a 08 F250 truck. That there boys would be a major bad **** machine.

Heh, heh, they were state of the art compared to the 350 gas to diesel conversions GM did previous to the 6.2. Now those were dogs, GM just tried capitalize on the paranoia of the buying public at the time of the fuel crisis thirty years ago. Personally, I like the 7.3 that my wife has in her 2000 F350 and I love the 4.5 PSD I have in my 2007 LCF 55 with the 5 speed TS.
