2001 f-250

i went to look at a 2001f-250 today when i was starting it took like 15 seconds to start he has had it in the shed for 3+4 months his brother passed away in february he has the injectors serviced around march want to know what the promblem is and if it going to be costly i have 97 f150 want to get a f-250 diesel 7.3 the pickup i looked at has a 7.3 diesel thank you

First thing punctuation marks are your friend, use them.



Second it sat for 3-4 months by your own admission. Most likely the fuel in the bowl was drained back to tank or through the injectors. The excessive cranking would be from having to refill the bowl and lines again. Did you start it multiple times after driving it some? The oil would have to be changed asap as any fuel in the injectors would have bled into the cylinders and passed the rings in that amount of time.
