2004 F250 w/5.4L

I am looking at trading in my '94 F150 for a '04 F250 w/ the gas 5.4L. What are the pro's and con's of the gas engine over the diesel in the F250. I am not planning on doing any towing, just an occasional heavy load and mostly around town driving.

Thanks
Roger

I have the 5.4L in my f 150 and I can only imagine gas mileage will get worse when you put it in a 3/4 ton. But if you aren't towing anything and you can stand the gas mileage I would say it would be a good truck. You may want to look into getting a programmer for it too.

IMO
If you are doing the occasional heavy load, buy/rent a trailer and stick with the 150. An F250 will have stiffer milage and ride than the 150.

If you really want the 250, get it with a diesel.

Uh, it's ten years newer. Plus it's a 3/4 ton.

Go for it man.
