06 V10, price and mileage????

I found a truck with all the options that I wanted, a fully loaded 06 F350 lariat FX4 CC SB with V10/auto and 4.10 gears. I haven't talked prices yet with the dealership but they are asking $28000 for it with 32000 miles. I still have to see how much they will give me for trade on my truck.

What could I expect for mileage out of a set-up like this??? Also how does this price sound?

Thanks!!

Expect 13-14mpg highway and 11-12mpg city.

I have 4:30's in an F250 and I get about 12-13mpg highway and 10-11mpg city and I'm in the flatlands of the mid-west.

The figures listed are with the truck UN-loaded.

Have fun!

i agree with pagnews gas quote and the price does sound good, they will probably take a few thousand off though if they want to sell it!!

I understand that 9mpg situation. I used to live in SoCal (Newport Beach) and travel to Johnson Valley all the time. Going up the hills and mountains was a killer with mpg not to mention the stop and go traffic situation.

Since I have no downhills now I don't think I'll ever get to 16mpg - I envy you Dirk Upson!

16 mpg was on our recent trip to idaho. that was on flat ground doing 70mph. when it got hilly we got around 13 mpg.

You lucky dog! The best I've ever gotten was 13.5 mpg (according to the factory gage) and that was at 70 going from Chicago to Grand Rapids...of course the 4:30 with the 32" stockers doesn't help either

Price is very reasonable. Wish I could find one of those around here, I would buy it in a hearbeat for that price.

That sounds about right, get them to come down, if it was a trade they don't much in it.

Good find

Thanks for all the replys!! I went back to the dealership to take the truck for a test drive and see if we could work out a deal. The salesman opened up the truck and the first thing that I noticed is that it didn't have the steering wheel mounted radio and heat controls, which is one of the things that I want on my next truck. I told the saleman that I thought this was the truck with the steering wheel controls, so he went and looked at the truck next to it (which was the exact same truck, 06 F350 CC SB FX4 lariat even red only it was a 6.0L diesel). The diesel is the one with the steering wheel controls not the V10, plus they want 34000 for the diesel. I am not willing to pay that much for it and I am also not willing to buy a truck unless it is exactly and I mean exactly what I want. So it looks like I am browsing for a truck again, I guess that its a good thing that I am not in a hurry to get one since it may take awhile for me to find one.

I am also looking for the V10,and it is not easy to find one with low miles and the right options. Can't be that many V10's out there compared to what you see in the diesel lineup.

if they are both lariets and 06s, shouldn't they both have the same controls?

somethings wrong here....... the steering wheel mounted controls are standard on all lariat models!
