F250 flareside?????

I was sitting at the bar and we started talking about my ford. This other guy interrupts us and ask me "How come I didn't buy a f-250" and he works at a ford dealership. He knows I pull a 6500lb camper. I told him f-250 don't have flare sides. He said "I can order f-250 with a flare side". Of course he was drunk and barely walking. Is there a such as a f-250 flare side. I never heard or seen one and he told me "I can order anything" Is there such thing or was the beer talking?

I think i just answered my own question, correct me if I'm wrong- F250 only come in 8 foot bed and flare sides are 6.5 foot bed so No they can't make f-250 into a flare side unless they shorten the frame.

How good does the F150 pulls the trailer?

What brand and model of trailer you own, I'm considering in buying a F150 but been worried about towing a 26 trailer in the near future.

Still wrong... F-250 and F-350 is available in 6.5' and 8' beds. However, it is not available in Flareside, no matter what the length. The closest you could get would be a short bed dually, only available in crew cab form.

My trailer a keystone spring dale 291rkl, It tows Ok. Well the trailer weighs 6700 lbs and running on 35" tires. The farthest I went this year was 75 miles of highway PA to Ohio. I also have the xcal2, SISO exhaust, AF1 3.5, 5.4 and 3.73 gears. Pulling a 26 ft trailer you should have no problem it purchase a truck with 5.4 and 3.73 gears.

I had a 27ft trailer with my F150, same mods...it pulled fine but the MPG's were killing me. So I got a PSD.

Then a new 5thWheel, no problems with MPG's anymore.

The short bed on the new F250's is actually 6.75', not 6.5'.

are you real sure about the weight of your trailer, the MFG said mine weighed 6850, so i figured add another 500 for options. Well first time out we were practically empty no water, removed can goods and anything else we did not need, stopped at the CAT scales at Interstate 80 and Rt8 GCVW = 14,020, 20 lbs overweight with bare minimum supplies. If I were going to the Beach for a few weeks I would be so illegal, cant be doing that, I have a class A license! If I got in an accident and anyone got hurt or worse, they would put me behind bars!! Also some thing to think about, the other day I got off the turnpike at New Stanton, and there was a DOT just on the other side of the toll boths, they were pulling over pickups with car trailers, utility trailers and travel trailers! Thank goodness I was not towing at the time. It would be worth your while to get the whole rig weighed, my trucks max gcvw is 14,000. when weighed my front axle was ok rear axle was over by like 400lbs and the trailer axles were ok, per the weight stickers in the trailer and truck door. You might be surprised what you really weigh if you scaled it. If you are illegal and get in an accident, it is automatically your fault, an attorney will eat you alive!!
