Battery's going?

Few weeks ago were sitting around after dove hunting and had the truck doors open listening to the stereo, loud for several hours (2 amps, 2 subs, etc) Ever since then the truck is really, really slow to start.

Truck is only 06 with OEM batts in it...do I need to replace? Seems the alt won't charge them back to quick start, it takes a little longer to start. I am a battery noob....thanks

Hmmm...maybe take the batteries to a NAPA or dealership and have them tested and fully recharged. Of course if you have a recharger at home you DIY..

Just a thought.

Thanks, I called my local dealer he said they would be covered under warranty.

Not too bad all, now given the time it requires to do that, I could just buy two new ones. I'll what i can do next week.

Cheers

Take it to the dealer and just get em warrantied if you can. Or even better, see if they will replace them with Optimas.

Not under warranty. It stipulates Motorcraft or Navistar parts only.
