Job #1 vs. Job #2?

They are offering some pretty damn good deals on F250's right now. Does any one know if there are any major differences between the two job builds, if any? Does job #1 just indicate that it was built earlier in the year, or did they make some improvements on job #2? Any one hear of a reason to wait until next year, or later, to get a new 250? I'm tempted to wait and see what the new 2009 F150's will have in the power, gears, trans area's, but I don't think I can wait a year from now to get one .

Job 1 started in January of 2007. Job 2 started last month. So, as you probably noticed, the 2008 Super Duty will be sold for almost two years.

I wanted the back up camera but found a good deal on a truck with everything I wanted but that so we bought it.
Anyone know if the OEM back up camera is something easily added? Or is it a port install kind of option? Part numbers? Links? Anything?

Thanks in advance!

We started building Job #3 in early December. Job #1 is 08, Job #2 is 08 1/2, and Job #3 is 08 3/4. Ford cannot start building 09's until later this year.

How do you know if your truck is Job #1, Job #2 or Job #3? More importantly, what difference does it make?

The different job builds usually are only engineering changes (wire harness plugs, different size bolts, different plastic clips, etc). Sometimes they do offer new options between different builds. Hope this helps.

I work at Kentucky Truck which builds the Super Duty's. We started building the Job 3's a couple of weeks before christmas. I currently work on the engine line. Job 1 was actually being built in late 06 (Nov-Dec), and I beleive Job 2 was started around June or July of 07.
