That was the first thing I thought when I read it. I would've been embarrassed to put that up in SEMA. That said, I don't think the outside looks too bad; interior's pretty hideous though.

The only other thing I could think of here is that maybe the engine is not turbo charged... I do not remember if the article actually said one way or the other. If it is naturally aspirated, that would put a major stop to the big power gains the aftermarket tuners provide...not to mention making the motor less complex and perhaps more reliable.

Perhaps they are worried about warranty issues...

Not a problem...

That original artical was confusing... so I knew there had to be specifications out on the web... especially if it was turbocharged or not; which it is.

My opinions still remain the same too.

Yeah...maybe the gasser V10 in 8.0L can make those torque #'s. I know that it would bump at least 420hp.

that truck actually doesn't look too bad. if you can hide the rear fenders and don't open the doors. looks alot better than the goofyass crewmax 1/2 ton. god those things are ugly, the back door's like 5ft long. and even redlining at 2600 you should atleast be able to get more torque than that if not any hp. this is supposed to be a concept and the don't even go a LITTLE wild on the motor. not to mention the 5-speed manual,i say again wtf?

It looks like the japs are making a characatcher (sorry for the spelling, you know those artists at the state fairs that draw exaggerated images of you) of American trucks. Hideous, and unlike the current Tundra, this thing has too big of wheels, looks like it robbed a Kenworth of it's 24" Alcoa's and bolted them onto ugly

I actually like it *ducks*

I agree the shifter needs to be shortened, and it could use a 6-speed. The diamond plate bed isn't finished out very well, but that probably won't make production anyway. And I agree, the motor doesn't make the power it should for that size.
