F-150 to F-350

So I just bought a 2002 F-350 Lariat Crew Cab Long Bed Dually with a 7.3L. I figured I would stop in and say Hi!

I've been an F-150 owner for a 3 years and now need a bigger truck. So now with the addition, I had some questions:

1. Does anyone know where to get a factory service manual on CD or DVD?
2. I am missing the Diesel supplement to the owners manual, does anyone know where I can get one?
3. How do you determine the rear axle gear ratio?
4. I have the manual sliding rear window. Do they make a power sliding rear window for the 2002?

1. Do a search on line. I think Ford Parts had them at one time.
2. Ask you local dealer/service shop. They can probably get you one.
3. Most likely, you can check the VIN # out. You are probably a 3.55.
4. Blog CR Laurance. They make them for Ford. I've installed three - my 2002, 2004, and 2007. It will cost you close to $350 to buy one, but the install is easy.

3.55 gears in an 02 dually????? Very doubtful. Most dually trucks around then had 4.10 gears for a higher towing capacity. If not that then 3.73s. I don't think I've ever seen a 3.55 ratio even offered for a dually, only in SRW. If you really want to know crawl under your truck and there will be 2 tags on the axle. One specifies oil type and the other had the axle code (axle size, gears, and carrier type). Otherwise there is an axle ID code on the door jamb sticker. You'll have to do a search online for the ID code chart to figure out what yours corresponds to.

Do a search on ebay for service CDs. Though be careful as there are some ripoffs on those. Haven't come across them elsewhere for anything less than a small fortune.

I didn't think 3.55's were an option for SD's.

Ooops, I guess I didn't see the "dually" part. Sorry. I'm thinking 4.10, as well.

Yeah, they're out there, but rare. Mostly in F250s and only 2wd.

1. Owners manual PDF:
https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenan...ls/default.asp

2. Dieeeeeeezel Supplement PDF:
http://www.thedieselstop.com/faq/949...Supplement.pdf

3. Your dually probably has 4.10LS gears. Post up your axle code on the door jamb sticker.

4. It was available in the later years and can be added.

5. Get some pics of the thing!

Thanks for the diesel supplement pdf. That's perfect, you rock . My door jam doesn't have a sticker in it, so I am going to have to find it on the axel somewhere..
