2008 Super Duty

What is the biggest tire I can get on a stock 2008 Super Duty FX4 Extended Cab. I have 18 inch rims. Or if put in a 2 or 2.5 inch leveling kit what is the biggest tire I can get on the truck. I dont want the tires to rub.

i have 315-70-17s on my f-350. on the stock wheel you should be able to fit a 35 inch tire on it.

I have Toyo Open Country M/T's on my stock wheels. They are 35x12.5x20's. I think 12.5 is the widest tires that you can put on the stock wheels.

2008 Super Duty tires

Do you have any shots of what the truck looks like from the sides? Does the 35 inch tire rub at all? Do you have any kind of leveling of lift kit on you truck?

It looks awesome. I am re-thinking the wheel option I ordered with my truck. The 20's are really starting to grow on me.

No rubbing, even offroad in some really off-camber situations. The stock tires were 34.5", so I knew the height would not be a problem. The 12.5" width worried me, so I bought one of the CNC machined levelling kits off eBay for like $39 just in case. I still have it in the garage, but never installed it. I personally like the look of big tires on a truck that doesn't sit too high. If I do a 6" lift, I will change to the 37x13.5x20's...but I will need to go with wheels with less offset because the 37x13.5's would rub on the inside and would be too wide for the stock wheels. Good luck...I love the stock 20's on these trucks.

I didn't like them either at first but I'm starting to think they look fine.

I really like the look, but since I do alot of off-road and am in mud quite a bit I can't justify having them. My 18's are pretty scuffed up and I try to take it easy. The 20's would be even worse for my application.

Still, they look pretty cool.

Just my 2 centavos!
