Nice add... I might get a chrome tip for my F150... but I don't know...
That's not true! I was at my dealer today walking the lot while waiting on a oil change for my F-150, I looked at a 2008 Superduty 6.4 Powerstroke SCREW! Loaded to the hilt, this thing even had chrome tow hooks, & chromed dual Powerstroke Exhaust tips.......$56,000 sticker!!!.......

But knowing how the dealership are with their modification policies with the warranties, it would be considered aftermarket and void the entire warranty on the motor.

Those metal pieces that stick inside of the tailpipe serve a very special purpose for the emissions... I guess it creates a swirling effect...

Anyone know, or am I on the right track?

They actually create a venturi effect that pulls in cool air to cool the exhaust when the truck goes into regen mode. Even the aftermarket exhausts for the 08 have holes near the tip and about 12" back from the tip.
