EDIT: with your 7.3 you have lots of options, I would get something for econ, tow and aggressive street.... if you don't tow, get a drag tune. why not?

80 econo, 60 - 80 tow, 120 race, 140 smoke or aggressive. Oh, and high idle and no start.

Are ya serious? No start does exactly what it says. The truck don't start. Think of it as an anti theft measure.
High Idle is best used as a winter warm up, or any other time when you would normally need to idle up. Come to think of it, it'd come in handy in parking lots when you've got your foot on the brake and need to turn, it gets hard.
And as for the extreme or aggressive, I dunno. It's up to you.

Living in Florida I don't know that a high idle setting is going to be a big benefit. I would suggest getting a stock position on the chip in pos 1. If the chip ever dies (my old DP chip is doing that currently) it will revert to program 1 by default. If you set that as a no start then you're screwed. You'll have to pull the chip off the PCM along side the road. At least if you have a stock position on the chip you can cruise home. This was actually recommended to me by Jody himself, glad he got me to do it because I've actually used it.

Now you might want to rethink the smoke program too. With fuel at $3.50/gal ($3.59 here) do you really want to be pumping all that extra fuel out as smoke? Right now mine stays out of the 120hp setting.

I'd suggest, stock, 60tow (skip the 80 tow), 80 econo, and 120hp race. If you wanted the no start I'd put that in pos 5 (after the 120hp).

Put 20k behind the truck on a hot day and tell me how it does. Jody actually suggested that I go with the 40 tow, though I wish I'd gone with the 60. I use it more for the shift points than I do for the power, but a little more power would help at times. Once I'm up to speed I pull with my 80 econo when its not hot out.

Aaaaah... thats what I was thinking. Seeing as how I'll never tow more than 3K on a regular basis, I think I'm gonna go with the 80 tow when I do get my DP Tuner.

JP, these *are* custom tunes. DP tunes every tune for every truck based on mods, wheel size, use, etc. There is a form that you must fill out that lists your tunes, just like Troyer does. In fact, think of DP as the Troyer for diesels.

Don't say that, you might hurt its feelings and you'll lose a headgasket or two...
