6.0 upgrade question

My father has an 06 350 with the 6.0 engine. He just purchased a leviling kit for it, im looking to get him a performence upgrade wether it be intake or maybe exaust but that maybee a lil pricy, what would be most worth it.

Don't even bother with an intake, the stock filter assembly flows great and has one of the best filters available, if anything look at a tuner or exhaust (turbo back), but if it were me I wouldn't do anything unless you're ready to pay when and if anything goes wrong.....IMO wait for the warranty to run out before tweaking parts to avoid issues, or have a pocket of cash tucked away in case something breaks...

Before you do anything performance oriented, get a set of guages. That being said, an exhaust alone will only cool down exhaust temps so that would be safe without guages first. But any kind of tune, chip, injectors, propane, etc guages are a good idea to get beforehand on any diesel, much less the 6.0.

I agree with what they said above, stick with the stock air filter assembly, but a new exhaust system would be great. A lot of people like MBRP, good brand with a good price. You can also get a custom tuner from an sct dealer for a little more money, which is the best bang for your buck. But yes, if you do any mods, get some guages! You'll want to get a pyrometer and trans temp gauge at least. Most people get a turbo guage as well. Good luck!
