Haven't driven my truck in almost three weeks...

Other than picking up my son's new 50" plasma TV for his bedroom from Best Buy, my truck has been in the garage for the past three weeks. I think I am going through withdrawal. I filled the tank on Wednesday, November 28 and I've only put about 15 miles on it since then. My 16 year old daughter and 15 year old son both have their driving permits and have wanted to drive to and from school, so I have been using the 1993 BMW that usually just sits unused. Our insurance company made us sign a form that said that we would not let them drive our newer vehicles. I was wondering if anyone else here ever let their baby sit for weeks on end without being driven.

I am not going to drive my F150 until school starts back up again in a month... I can't see wasting gas and throwing mileage on it when we got a small Jeep Compass that gets like 30 mpg. I might take it out in two weeks.. but I doubt it... unless I have a compulsive need to do so.

I know, it's not a SD... but still.

I dunno what's worse... not driving my Dak or my F150... I think both.

Yeah, I also haven't ridden my '06 CBR1000RR in a couple months and it is making me crazy. We had a 75 degree day last Wednesday and I don't know why I didn't get out and ride that day. Just lazy, I guess.

So you're driving the BMW or your kids are?

My baby sat for 5 weeks while I was in the hospital recovering from complications of brain surgery, I swear it had that new car smell when I got back in it for the 1st time.

Well, I ride with them to school while one of them drives, then I drive the BMW home. In the afternoon, I drive the BMW to their school and one of them drives it home. My truck is blocked in the garage by the BMW being parked behind it, so it's just more convenient to drive the BMW if I go anywhere.

I think its amazing when I don't drive my truck for a day... Longest it has sat is maybe 2 days. My black F-150 sat for 2 weeks once while I was in California.

The price of diesel isn't gonna keep me from driving, mainly cause its my only ride. Yeah, $90 - 100 fill up SUCK!

The price of diesel is what kept me from getting a diesel... not to mention the price of the engine...

When I land my job paying well and I don't have to worry about school, because I'll be done, then I'll get the better toys...

Eh... Diesel in St. Charles (home) is $3.19. Diesel in Rolla (school) is $3.07. Gas is $2.79ish in both places. In my F-150 I was running premium cause of the tunes, so the price works out. Yeah, the fill ups suck, but I'm getting 30 gallons of fuel now versus 22. And I've still never seen the Low Fuel light come on while driving yet...

It's kind of funny... the Honda motorcycle division is well looked upon. However, Honda cars division, is not.
