F-250's as daily drivers

I know of a lot of people with F-SuperDuties as daily drivers. In fact, they are much more reliable... I wouldn't see a reason in the world to be concerned, figuring they are designed for heavy duty use... so driving around town and to and from work is like a walk in the park for these bad boys.

My brother has a '99 F-250 that is his daily driver. The only real area of concern on those trucks are the balljoints. They go out about every 75,000 miles, but considering how heavy those trucks are and how much stress is on those joints, Im not all that surpised they go out that often.
As long as you dont mind a harsh ride and poor fuel economy, an F-250 would be just fine as a daily driver.
However, if you dont really need the loadbearing ability of an F-250, an F-150 would make a lot more sense. Better fuel economy, a smoother ride, a nice interior and considerable less to buy and maintain than an F-250. The problem with the cost to fix an F-250 is that everything is bigger, so all those parts cost more to buy.

Lets see....."As long as you dont mind a harsh ride and poor fuel economy"
I figure it's a truck (not a car/truck). I remember as a little kid in the early 70's how much I liked the characteristic of a truck. As a kid back then I didn't mind a 'harsh ride' and didn't know what the h#%% 'fuel mileage' was. So...I guess I'm living my childhood dreams all over again. Except now I'm driving it The Super Duties these days drive better than even the 1/2 tons in '73.

I love the harsh ride of trucks... cars are just too... I dunno... I get tired of them quick.
I'm getting 20 mpg on my truck... and I'm happy.
If I wasn't going to college I would've gotten a F250... but I'll get one... just give me time.
