Yeah, you don't pay sales tax on your allowance, just the difference between the sales price and the allowance.

Hey FreekyFX4...

I may be a bit 'blind', but didn't your new truck come with upfitter switches?

In your photos it looks like you have 'em but it's hard to tell..

Nope, but Diesel Manor has the whole OEM kit to add them for about $90. I have the Tow Command and then a coin holder where the Upfitter would be.

And it's only for the 05-07 Super Duty. Doh!

OK...it looked like there 'might' be the upfitters, but its a coin holder. That's cool - It's good to know they are available as a unit if you need them. I have them, but still haven't used them for anything yet. Probably going ot be used for a rear light and off-road light set when I get the bar for the front.

Good Luck with your new beast!

Thanks. So far, the thing I like the most is the Audiophile with Sirius radio. I will definitely be signing up for Sirius when my 6 months is up. Howard Stern is awesome in the morning.

I'd drive it to work the next day.

I traded my last 2007 F-150 with 40k on it at around 8 months for $1,000 less than we paid for it - believe it or not. Coupled with buying the current 2007 F-250 PSD I drive below invoice and the $5,000 rebates available then, I went back to a diesel with a very minimal hit. So many people look at me and say "Man, I can't believe he is always driving a new truck". I snicker because at the miles I put on, I never have costs for brakes, shocks, tires, exhaust, tranny service, etc... and the trade differences don't cost too much more than what services would cost before 50k miles.

Good for you Freeky! I'm in the process of getting an order together. By the time it comes in, I'll be ready to trade - 50-55,000 miles, or so. I can't stand the limited colors out there and am having a hard time choosing. That's why I started early. I like the Dark Stone over Pueblo, but one of my favorites is the red over shadow gray two-tone FX4. I'm going crew cab again, and probably an 8-foot bed with 20's. I just hate spending that kind of cash for the company without getting my power sliding rear window - especially when the Lariat loaded the same has a few more bells and whistles for about a measly $500 more. Lord help me make a decision!
I love your truck. If I coud unload mine and keep the same payment I would get on just like it. That is one sharp truck. Im not really a fan of the new SD or the 09 F150.

2005lariatky,

Not sure 'cause you quoted me, but are you liking my 2007 Toreador over Silver in my signature, or Freeky's black FX4?

Nope, I had them swap the wheels and tires at the dealership. They had both of them up on lifts at the same time.
