my new 03 F250 temp gauge starting bouncing between half and hot then just pegs. but it dosent shift any different and the fluid isnt burnt. any help would be great thanks,

 

Sounds like a connection or sender unit problem. Better have the tranny checked out anyway. If it is the tranny you certainly don't want the temp fluctuating like that - especially on the upper end of the heat zone.

 

thanks, i talked to a friend at dinner and he said that he knows a ford tech that all he works on are F250 and up. is there anything else i should ask him to look at? im new to the 250's my last diesel was a 7.3 non turbo if that tells you how long it's been. thanks
