Finally got my new '08 F250!

Closed the deal yesterday but had all the paperwork done on the 29th of February so I got the low interest rate through Ford Credit.

Just ordered the Rize 6" lift and Bushwacker fender flares today, and am going to the 37" tires and 20" rims later today. Also going on is a spray in bedliner and autostart on Thursday. Lift will probably get done at the end of March, so I'll hold off on more pictures till then.

Options are pretty much a fully loaded FX4 with 4.30 gears, black leather interior, moonroof, heated memory seats, V-10, step, bed extender yadda yadda.

Here are a couple pics in the garage. Have the water tank in right not to fill up another in the house, so I guess that can be this trucks official first mod.

Nice having that new truck smell back in the garage.

Awesome and congrats! Yours looks identical to mine inside, except you have the rear parking sensors and upfitter switches.

And those little red heated seat buttons that we don't need down here in Tennessee! Those 4.30's with the V10 should be extremely peppy!

Looks awesome. Are the cooled seats an option on the 08s?

I don't think that is an option...but I have been known to be wrong!

Is it just me, or is the front valence unusually low/long?

Good job getting the V10 w/ 4:30's - I love that set up. My 06 accelerates pretty good for a truck that size and I haven't been beat by a stock diesel yet! It's a nice smooth motor and pretty quite to boot!

Enjoy and congrats again!

Wow, I was rushing to get out of here this morning and re-read my post, sorry for the crappy grammer.

Thanks for the congrats. The cash in the center consol is our water money. $5.00 gets us a little over 300 gallons here, and it'll get you a pint of water in a Vegas casino... funny how that works.

Truck is a slug now with a bad vibration in overdrive and a very rough idle. Check engine light is on, so it has to go back to the dealership in the morning for service now instead of just an autostart and spray in liner. Hopefully they'll get it figured out quick.

Got the wheels and tires ordered. Going with XD Series Badland 20X9" chrome and Toyo MT 37X13.5X20 tires. They should be here in about a week and a half, along with the lift and flares. The dealership is also going to paint the front and rear bumpers to match when they paint the flares.

Yeah, it is.
Pretty sure I read somewhere its something Ford did on the 2008.5's to try to improve the aerodynamics and fuel mileage. They're also lowering the axle ratios on several of them. It was on here somewhere...

http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/02/f...-fuel-economy/

Rather than wait for the 2009 model year to roll around, Ford has decided to introduce two new fuel saving changes to the 2008.5 Super Duty that should improve fuel economy for the big trucks by about 1.5 mpg. That may not sound like much, but for vehicles that barely break the double-digit barrier in mpg, it's a big improvement. The changes include reducing the rear axle ratio on certain F-250 and F-350 models and extending their underbody chin spoilers by 3.93 inches. If you're a truck person, you're no doubt wondering how Ford will maintain the maximum tow rating for these trucks while reducing their rear axle ratios. With big trucks, a higher rear axle ratio means more towing capacity, while a lower rear axle ratio provides better fuel economy. In this case, Ford says that these Super Duty trucks will still be able to tow the same amount of weight as before, though our friends at Pickuptruck.com suspect that 0 to 60 performance and acceleration in general, especially while towing, will drop.
