Sounds a little low. From what I've heard from the dealership they are getting closer to 12-14mpg. Not much better than what you are getting though. Welcome to year 1 of the 6.4L.

Mid 13s on average. Mid 13s around town....mid 13s on the road. Mid 13s running 55, mid 13s running 85. Mid 13s empty, mid 13s pulling my car and trailer.

I guess you can say it pretty much gets mid 13s. I actually use to get low 14s but that went down some for some reason...maybe the fuel blend changed.

$4.34 a gallon here for diesel. You are are really taking it in the rear every time you fill up

I average 14.5 for my daily commute. (16 miles stop and go traffic each way).

I took a short road trip last weekend (about 70 miles) and averaged 20.5.

2008 6.4 crew cab 4x4 with 3.73 rear

mileage with this truck is 100% controlled by your right foot!

I got this with the cruise control set at 60 mph. If I got to a steep hill, I took it off of cruise control to make sure the boost didn't get above 10psi.

Do any of you guys have the 6 speed manual transmission with the 6.4l TTD?

If so, please report mileage.

Summer blend is almost here, you should start getting better and better MPG's

Summer blend is already being worked in here in TX right now.

Caught the gas supplier yesterday and asked him...it will take up to 3 months to get the blend back in circulation.

I was getting 12 MPG. Mine was in the shop last week to fix a squeaking idler pulley and they ended up keeping it for a week. It seems that they were "poking around" in the truck's computer and "fried the TCM". They ended up replacing the TCM and reflashing the computer. Now I get 13.5 MPG. I'm not sure what they did, but that's an extra 40 miles per tank, so I am pretty happy. On the downside, the truck does feel quite a bit slower than before I took it in. I guess every positive thing has a negative side.

PS - I bet if i had that ugly-a$$ job 2 front airdam, I would be getting 20 MPG!

I started off in the 11-13 range. I am now more in the 13-15 range.

Also, on every fill up make sure to reset your average mpg reading (which is a little conservative in its estimate - using a calculator you will see that you are really getting slightly better than it says each tank). If you don't reset the mpg then it is doing the average of the total miles (life long) and that will not change much at all.

I have gotten as much as 20 on the highway, but it doesn't take much pressure on the pedal around town to bring the mpg down to under 12
