has anyone modified their 08 Diesel yet??

Just curious if anyone here has done an intake, programmer, or exhaust yet.. If you did any or all of these please post what you have and the pros/cons to the modification.
Please if you do not have any mods to your 08 do not come here preaching about how dumb it is to risk losing the warranty..
If anyone has pics and videos of the mods post away..

Superchips Flashpaq 1808 tuner. It really woke the truck up and improved acceleration and transmission shifting. Also removed the dips in power before the transmission would shift. Probably harder on the tranny, but I would never run the tune while hauling or towing. It would probably tear the tranny apart pretty quick, that's how much harder it shifts now, even with the 35" Toyo Open Country M/T's. I have never seen the benefit of doing the exhaust on a diesel, other than looks. The exhaust on a diesel is already very unrestricted.

Hey there. I installed a AFE stage 2 air cleaner, MBRP duals and a superchip cortex programmer. I did notice a little better performance with just the A/C and exhaust in response and fuel. When I hooked up the programmer tuned to the performance program WOW!!! Instant turbo boost about 40 lbs in 1second. It lite the tires up from a stand still, about a 5 foot patch till it hooked up and then I was gone flying down the hiway. I ended up taking the performance program out and put the towing mode in just because of fear of blowing something up.The towing mode dos'nt hit too terrible hard on the boost or tranny. Better response and so far better fuel milage according to my onscreen display in the truck. The MBRP is very quite also. I have a 2008King Ranch 6.4 L 4x4 . Hope this helps some what.

thanks guys.. Im really looking to get better MPG. I believe an intake and a programmer should help, RPMOutlet.com offers a 4" DPF back intake and programmer for $599.. pretty good deal I think. I need to first finish my Lightning so I can get back on the track racing.

Just remember a DPF back wont do much, if anything, on the 08 and up diesels, regardless of brand. Forget the exhaust and use the money saved on a bed cover or something to get better MPG. And if youre willing, obliterate your warranty and get a DPF delete and custom tune from a company like Spartan. Youll be seeing 18+ MPG.

Thumbs down tuner

Has anyone had any problems with their trucks since the programmer? I was also wondering if you remove it when you tow or does the tuner have a tow setting? I was also wondering if you notice that the truck goes into regen mode more often?
Thanks
