need some opinions
in a perfect world i would have gotten a powerstroke haha. so im making due with what i have and i have no complaints with the power she has. i actually get surprised sometimes haha. but i wanna do as much possible to enhance the towing. ive been thinking of doing something with the rear end...maybe posi? or gear ratio? but will the gear ratio change my gas mileage? any ideas or comments would be awesome! thanks guys

Any details on what motor or do we have to guess?
Yes going to deeper gears will affect your mileage. The deeper the gear the higher the rpm, thus pushing it further from its economy band. The difference is that it applies the torque to the ground better, and it will tend to push it towards the torque band. You need to determine how much you tow vs how much you DD. You don't want to set up the truck for the minority of your driving to where it would negatively affect the majority of your driving.
A locker won't do anything for your towing ability unless you're getting stuck.

what are you towing? 5th Wheel? Travel Trailer? Jet ski's, boat?
What are the weights of what you are towing?
I would say anything over 6K lbs you can mod the hell out of the truck only to gain single digit improvements in power and expect terrible mpg's while towing.

Thats a pretty small bobcat if your trailer GVW is only 5000 max. My 10k GVW trailer comes in around 1500 by itself, then if I throw on the Case 95XT I'm running overloaded (about 10500 to 11000). Most med to large skid steers are 7k-10k. Heck even with a tandem axle dump trailer (12k GVW) when I get an avg load of dirt or mulch I'm loaded up to pretty much the max. You sure on your weights?
