Picked up a load of rocks today...

The big rock weighs about 6,000lbs. On the front of the trailer there was another 2400lbs of rock. Trailer weighs about 2500lbs on its own. Plus, the truck weighs 7800lbs. Roughly 18,700lbs of weight... On 6,000lb license plates Truck handled it like a champ. Easily had a few inches (5" or so) between the axle and the bump stops.

The 6,000lbs behind it leveled the load out a bit. Truck only sagged about 4", maybe 5".

It's for the bossman. The big rock is gonna be the sign outside of his new neighborhood. The smaller rocks are going to be part of a waterfall.

That is not at all what I expected to see when you said a load of rock.

I was thinking more of the gravel type.

You should have titled this thread "My truck can only haul 8 rocks at a time"

Nice work....

Well, that would make sense. There for a second I thought you were doing so personal landscaping. My parents put a rock not quite that big in as a spot to set a bench. That would be cool to make a couple rocks like that into a flush with the ground deck.
