Superduty most stolen ??

Sure yall know, just thought it was interesting, and figured I'd post it. The Superduty (05 -07 ) is the second most stolen car. Kinda surprised me to be honest.

Here is the link:

^^ a lot of their rankings surprised me. So, is this really a problem with em or what ?

Around border towns, yes. You can start these trucks with a screwdriver if you punch out the ignition. Mexis love em cause they're damn tough, can go through anything, and can run long distances without refueling.

You also have to consider how many are on the road. A factor most totally over look...

weird, in times like these you'd think all the gas guzzlers would be on the bottom of the list. Diesel powered vehicles especially.

Yes, I realize that, but still. I was still just shocked to read this. Wanted to see if I was living in the dark ages and everyone knew, or if this is just as surprising to the Super Duty guys.

Did you realize that f250 was #2 and f350 is #5. Add them up and they are way in the lead. My uncle had his 06 stolen about year ago.

I think Its odd that ford has the "chiped keys" for almost all of there line-up but they skip the 30-60k trucks!

They have been for years and years. Illegals love them big easy to still and can pile large amounts of people in them and cross the border.

I was a bit surprised to see it as high up on the list.

I wonder what that rating would be here in Michigan? (or on a state by state basis)

The list was compiled based on the number of claims per 1000 insured vehicles, so the amount on the road makes no difference.

Since this statistic was created using the number of claims per 1000 insured vehicles, adding them together would actually be more of an average and the result would be somewhere between #2 and #5.
