okay was driving my moms pickup the other day and it is a 04 6.0L.
it has the lights on the outside of the mirrors... well i was driving and this guy was half way on my side of the road... well i drove by him i knew it was close and all the sudden BOOOM!!!
we smacked mirrors... he was driving a 03 dodge ram. shattered his mirror! but only broke the light on my moms (so much for rams being so tuff! lol) anyways. i wondering ware i might pick up a new light for the driver side mirror. i looked on ebay and found the sweet smoked mirror lights for hundred bux... not to bad i didnt think... and im just gunna buy them if i cant find a new stock one for under $20 or $25

what would you guys do?

i got no problem with buying the smoked ones lol i think they look bad ***... but i will go the cheaper route if they are that much cheaper

Had to replace one on my 05 due to the same reason. Had to buy the whole back part of the mirror to get the new light/lens. Pain to replace also. Bolts are in behind the mirror. Only $85 at the dealer.

 

You will probably be better off with the aftermarket ones if just trying to buy the light itself. From posts I've read the factory lights are not available seperate - you need to buy the black mirror housing also...could be wrong, but that's what I've heard

got the PM thanks anyways. i bought the smoked ones... it didnt say anything about how to instal them tho... your telling me the whole back of the mirror comes off? i mean its not just a snap on deal?

its not the lights i need the lights still work fine... its just the lense... do you still have to take the whole back of the mirror off? and do these new lightsi bought come with new lights also? or is it just the lense? cause i dont need new lights they still work its just the lense.
