My 05 FX4 F-150 vs. 07-08 F-250 SD

Hi guys,
So my wife talked me into buying a brand new Keystone 30' camper that weighs 6700lbs. dry. Our first trip wasnt too bad.....New PHP canned tune for 87 towing helped my 05 FX4 SC 5.4 but I felt like the camper was kind of "pushing" me around. We plan on taking some long trips to Myrtle Beach, Virginia Beach, etc. I think I may need to upgrade....
Forgive me for being too lazy to do the research but Im thinking of trading for an 07-08 F-250 Super Duty gasoline. Would it be that much of an upgrade? Worth the extra $? Not really wanting the diesel. Id love to pick up an 08 F-250 SD FX4 Crew Cab.

Opinions...? TIA!

Stabilty wise - absolutely...if a gasser you really should go with the V10 w/ 4:10 or higher gearing. It will be a very noticable improvement!

I bought my SD for capability, not frettin' over MPG ~ I do tow at times (some loads that are definately way over the legal weight limit of the truck - but's it's only about 20 miles round trip). It hauls better than the '96 7.3L TD we have here.

I get 9 mpg city / 13 hwy...fine for me

I tow a 5th wheel that weighs about the same as yours and a boat almost every weekend. I used to own an 04 F150 FX4 and upgraded to an 05 F250 Superduty Diesel. Night and day difference. Make the change, you wont regret it.

Nothing, NOTHING beats a diesel at towing! The V10 would get it there but MPG's are horrible towing anything with them. Powerstroke, only way to go IMO.

MPG's aside the V10 can keep up with the diesel in 90% situations - especially with 4:10 + gearing. Unless you tow very heavy and ALOT the diesel isn't worth the extra money - and headaches (unless you want to spend some $$ and make it a power monster and I've ridden in some insane FAST diesels )...IMHO .
