The rest of the truck looks great - but I agree the dually fenders just look weak and 'Dodge-like' - ugly

Still not sure about that crazy engine either. Aluminum heads on a diesel? Exhaust manifolds in the middle of the engine instead of the sides? Oil filter mounted on bottom of the engine, like a gasser. Only time will tell.

The 6.7L is said to be 160 pounds lighter than the current 6.4L, meaning the engine will weigh more than the Duramax, but less than the Cummins.

Dont care for the grill that much, or the fenders on the duallies, as stated before.

aluminum heads have been on the duramax for for years same with the reverse flow heads. Its nothing new and they seem to have few problems.

oh cmon... the diesel has to have the 6sp manual option! I love it in mine... Plus i dont wanna spend 4k for a damn auto

The front end is nicer in my opinion... but that huge plastic lower valance thing would be the first thing to go. Ive got the small one on my truck.. and ive torn it off twice.

Have had the truck stuck 9 times so far Yeah.. im gentle on my stuff.

Yeah, you know, not like Ford would do that on the 7.3 and run it for years or anything...

If they don't at least have a manual option, it will be dissapointing.

I don't think there is a manual option. 6 speed auto only.

According to the linked article - here's powertrains in a nutshell:

5.4 is gone and the V-10 will only be available in the F-450 and F-550 commercial chassis/cabs with 5R110. Otherwise, it's ALL either 6.2 gas or 6.7 diesel, both with 6R140. The ZF manual is gone, period.

Ford has done extensive field/Lab testing on this new Diesel, perhaps more than any engine it has ever produced in it's respected history! You can sleep well grasshopper!.........

I wouldn't sleep well for the first year of ANY new engine...........field and lab tests do not exactly mimic use by all types of people that buy them. There's also the issue of the assemblers getting used to building something new.
