new superduty help...

is there any way to turn the ACC on for more than the 5 minutes it stays on, my daddy just bought a 2009 f250 and he sits outside and listens to the radio all the time, and he said he cant in his new truck like he could his 2003 f150

it stays on.

it only turns off if you have the key to off or pulled out of the ignition

If he would turn it back one click he could listen to it as long as he wants.

I want to say there isn't the ACC position on the 08+ superdutys, I'll look on mine after work.

Even if you leave the key in the ON postion with the engine off it kills power after awhile to keep the battery from dieing.

You could always hard wire the radio to a constant power cable, rather then the accessory cable. I've been doing this for years on my cars and trucks. It's perfect for when I'm camping, tailgating, etc. Just make sure you remember to turn if off when you're done or start your truck every once in a while!

I don't have a ACC on my 06 either, but that is perfect reason to hard wire the radio using the upfitter switches.

that's what they are there for.

My ACC is the first position. Off, ACC, run, start. Not backwards like the older ones. Also if you turn the truck off the radio will play for 10 minutes or until you open the door.
