Replacing Left Rear Turn Signal

I have the two bolts out but am afraid to pull the left lighting housing out for fear of breaking whatever is holding it in. (Did that on another car.) Is there a trick to this?

pull straight out towards the back of the truck, do not pull sideways.

ok? just pull straight out and it wont break, then replace the bulb and go on with your day
