Weight ratings and I think the F250 has a Dana 60 and the F350 gets a Sterling rear axle depending on the year but I am not 100% sure. The F250 has a two inch rear axle block and the F350 has a four inch other than that they are almost identical trucks.

A taller block in the rear and a different sticker in the door.

All SRW F-250/350 Super Duty trucks have the 10.5 Sterling rear. My F-250 has a Dana 50 front end, but eventually all F-250s have a Dana 60, although I don't know when they officially made that switch. The real difference between a F-250 and F-350 are the size of the rear blocks and how much the sticker on the truck says it can carry.

When I bought my '03' F250 the price difference was $1100 and the tow rating was 900 pounds more. Big deal unless you need a dually!
