I have on order a 2011 F250 with the new 6.2 "Boss" V8 engine as in the Raptor. They say it is a 2 valve overhead cam hemi that produces over 400 hp, and is coupled to a new 6 speed double overdrive transmission. They also say it gets better fuel mileage than a 5.4 does. Has anyone heard anything about this new engine (pros & cons)? It won't be in for 2 months so this gives me time to do a little homework to see if I really want it!

 

Will be hard to have any feadback on the engine, since there's not one on the road as we speak.

 

Rumor has it that Ford released a few of these a while back in 2010 SD for testing. I was checking to see if anyone may have one and would comment on it?

 

it is a 2v overhead cam but it is not a Hemi. It has the same bathtub style combustion chamber as the 4.6 and 5.4.
