I just inherited my Dad's 2004 F250 SD when he passed away. It is going to be my son's when he is 16 and we plan to set it up real nice. On the front fenders it has the V10 badges. I would like to take them off but what I was wondering is if they have the pin on the back? I don't want to have to fill in any holes. Thanks for your help.
Also, I was wondering if the headlights from 2005-2008 will fit on the 2004 without changing the grill and front bumper?

 

Not sure about the badges, but the headlights require a lot of other parts to work. There are several people on here who have done the front end swap, and I think it requires the headlight, grill, and some other parts. Zaairman has done the swap on his and can answer that question better though.

 

Thank for the info. I was hoping to be able to just do the headlights. I didn't want to do the whole swap.

I think the 05-08 grille looks better than the 99-04. I'd go for it!

 

Those badges are just sticky-taped on, no pin behind it.

For the 05 and up headlights, you'll either need to do some massive cutting of your existing header panel, or swap in a new header panel from an 05 truck. You'll also need new headlight plugs or the harness from Dfuser.

 

Alot of cutting is required on the header panel i just did the front end swap on my 2003. i didn't change plugs however, i modified the existing plugs because i had h.i.ds so they would fit the new light

 

Me and a buddy did and 07 swap on his 03 .. cost about 1400 for all ford oem parts ... new bumper with top and bottom plastics new grille new head lights new fog lights and header panel
