I'm getting about 17mpg on my 2010 F350 with the 6.4L diesel.
The 5.4L is reliable but too weak and the V10 has had problems.

Geez....I just got here...bought the 5.4, and I'm feeling a bit "less than thrilled" with my new truck at the moment

NOT....my six previous 5.4L Fords (total 430,000 miles) have been great for what I need...I would have LOVED a V10, but to find one with some options here in NJ/NY area was like a needle in a haystack. I thought a 2010, since the deal was so freekin good and I want to see how the new engines fair over the next 12-18 months.

I'm good back to your quibbling...

Like what? I know of the 'sticking' plugs' but that's an easy remedy...

The V10 is plenty capable....
I was planning to buy a V10 version, but around here I couldn't find one with reasonable miles and options/price l felt fair. I actually couldn't find many V10 F250s at all. One dealer here is Southern California who claims to be the biggest seller of super duties in the county (used rigs I think) had about 70 used units on the lot. Of those only 1 had the V10! It was a smokers truck or I might have grabbed that one.

Oh well, I ened up buying a new smoker. Loving everything so far.

It's the same way around here. Nice low mile 6.0s and 6.4s are literally everywhere, but nearly all the used V10 trucks have at least 100k on them with some pushing 200k on them.
