Looks like you made the right choice! That thing is going to be like a new truck.

Drop in liners are bad, m'kay...

Whole front of the bed up against the cab is rusted out too. Had to cut the heads off of all 8 bed bolts cause the heads were so rusted I couldn't get a torx bit in them. Old bed comes off tonight.

Patman, wtf do you need another truck for??
I saw the 98 he's buying when I was down there last month - he's gonna sell the red truck and use the 98 for a daily driver instead of Fiddy. It's a V-6 with a stick and he can get it dirt cheap, it's hydrolocked and he can get an engine cheap.

I paid $500 for a damn near perfect bed (had 3 small dings) with the tailgate. And it already had a spray-in bedliner. Yeah, I got a steal on it... I'm going to send you a PM... I found a guy selling an 8' bed in NC for like $600.

Just did that today... wire wheeled the whole thing, primed, then hit the frame with undercoating and anything moves with black paint.

About freakin time. Now you'll need to get the front half of the truck painted to match the new.

The new bed is getting its final coat of clear tomorrow, so it should be ready to go Thursday evening. I'll have it on then or Friday... I can't wait.

Still needs a wet sand and buff, then it's all back together.
