I have the 3G iPad with 64GB of memory. I have the unlimited AT&T data plan. The internet works great, plus with the built in GPS receiver, I can load Google Maps and have the satellite view of the road I am driving on. Pandora Radio and Shoutcast Radio work flawlessly over the 3G service. It has 64GB of storage, so I can listen to my vast MP3 collection, watch a movie, watch a slideshow of photos. I can make VOIP calls using Toktumi, send text messages using TextFree, or watch YouTube videos wherever. Google Maps does a little turn by turn navigation, but I can't wait until TomTom, Garmin, or Magellan make a dedicated navigation app for the iPad.
I bought the locking Ram-Mount iPad cradle with the short mounting arm and the magnetic base. I mounted a steel plate in the bottom of each cup holder, so all I have to do is drop the mount in and it snaps right in place and holds like you would not believe. I also have the long mounting arm with the suction cup, which holds the iPad on the windshield. I am trying to decide which I like better, but I mainly got the window mount so I could use it in other vehicles.

Thanks guys!
It's wishful thinking. I prefer Android over IOS. I love the iPad, but wish it ran Android, like my Droid X does. Even though there are more apps for IOS, I love the customization and freedom of Android. I do feel like I have the best of both worlds, having both.

My cup holders work fine. As I previously stated, the mount is only held in there with a magnet. All I have to do is lift the mount out of the cup holder, and I have my cup holder back. I can also out it in the other cup holder and free up the one closest to me. I usually keep a bottle of water in my door cup holder, plus I still have the two cup holders that fold out of the dashboard. As seldom as I drink in my truck, it's really not an issue. For long trips, I have the suction cup mount that attaches to the cradle, which moves the entire thing up and out of the way.
