theres probaly a reason that truck has only 21k on it. the early 04's had the same exact engine but the later 04's had a different turbo, egr cooler and a few other small differences but pretty much the same. The 6.0's are troublesome and if it is his first diesel i would look into 03+ cummins, 04+duramax or 08+powerstroke.
