so it was a bad week for the home team last week, I was getting on it pretty hard, slowed down for a red light, and she died. would not restart hasn't started sinse. how it pulled into a apartment complex that my buddy lives that it is right down the road.

I was not a happy camper but now I guess I have to start rebuilding. I am pretty sure it is hpop related. but I need to get back in there a check for any kind of chafing on the wire harnesses.

so for right now I just have a very handsome truck parked into 2 parking spots. Lol

I ran out to redding this morning and talked to Jeremy at Jefferson state diesel. He was just in diesel world mag and has a 474hp 6.0 that is a beast and identical to mine. He gave me some pointers on where to troubleshoot also. I think I might take this breakdown as an oppurtunity to rebuild everything I can. I am doing it myself as parts alone will push $2G.

OK, so, i was bashing my head on the hood because nothing seemed to point out what was actually wrong with the truck. ran to the dealer and he said for $180 he would tell me what was wrong with if for sure. seemed like a reasonable price and would stop my headache.

had a flatbed come pick it up and dropped it off at 1045. at 1150 they call. "found your problem" the service rep says.. seems the jiffy lube i took it to used the wrong filter and actually broke a tab off the one they put in to make it fit and well, it ended up in my injector control pump and that is bad. sooooo $1K later and about 5 hours. i have a running truck and new filters.. now i need to go see the jiffy lube...

Well there's your first mistake Mexibreed! Jiffy Lube, SERIOUSLY! This could have ended a lot worse, I hope you get reimbursed for all the money you spent including the tow truck and I hope they fire the idiot who broke the filter to "make it fit". This is totally unacceptable, next time you drive by here let me know and we'll do it here at the shop.

Jiffy Lube.... Ta loco!..

Document that from the Ford dealer and arm yourself with it when you go to the Jiffy Lube place and demand they pay for the repair. That is a joke, man!
