I'm going to use a TMA 500/1 amp and use the SPKL2 box. I plan on using factory highs for now. Will the sub be to loud for the factory high's? I don't mind changing them out, but would rather wait until later and prefer to not have to use another amp.

should be good to run with those 500 rms watts, it isn't overkill on the power, just set the gain accordingly to have a "balance" in the sound inside

Thats exactly why I have them. I can have a pretty bad case of road rage at times. The people I like best are the ones who pull out in front of me at night. Not a smart move on there part. My lights shine directly into the back glass. HID's can be very very blinding. lol.

I decided during the week to risk the chance and open my headlights myself rather then paying Truebliss $400. Overall they came out good for using spray cans. I'm not finished yet, but snapped them into place on the truck to get a view of how it'll look. I still have to run a bead of silicone around the edge.

Look great man! Honestly, how hard/easy was this to do ? I am considering doing it myself but the thought of screwing it up really is keeping me from it atm.

What I am wanting to do is this :

Your thoughts ?

Overall it's not bad. I sanded the chrome until it was black so iy would hold better. The 2011 is different bc what I painted separated from the two other pieces that are chrome. I think you'll have to paint the top piece like the pic you posted. If you're not great at painting then get someone to do it for you. Splitting the lights are pretty simple. Painting it can be tricky if you try to rush it. You have to do several light coats.

Look at it this way. It's either $400 and you do nothing or you split and seal them and probably pay someone to paint them $100.

Look at the picture again, they are LineX'd! That is what I plan to do as well, just gotta grow the nuts to open them up and then my buddy can spray the LineX.
