Everyone knows the 2011 Super Duty is awesome but I think I am not alone in missing the stand alone FX4 package. I know you can get the FX4 pkg on the XLT and Lariat but I think that Ford should begin to offer the full package again; monochromed exterior, black grille insert, sterling grey fender flares, etc.. I just don't understand why they got rid of it in the Super Duty. Chrome is fine but there is just so much on the new ones. I think that they should offer an FX4 package still on the Lariat and XLT but make the full FX4 package again. Anyone with me? Anybody have any insight on if it could possibly come back in 2012? I really want to replace my Silverado with a Ford but I am waiting to see if they will offer the FX4 again because if not I'm going with the F150.

 

I didn't know it was a separate package on the superdutys. I know the FX4 "off road" b.s. on my '02 consisted of crappy red booted shocks that were quickly replaced, gaudy stickers that were peeled off, and a skid plate that prolly wouldn't handle much skidding.

The FX4 added package on the Lariat and XLT is $300+ and all you get is Ford shocks with Rachero stickers, and a few skid plates. Oh and the FX4 sticker. I got it only b/c it was the color I wanted an had all the other options I wanted.

The F-250 is much different than the F-150 as for as packages go. The F-150 doesn't offer the FX4 package. They only have the FX4 model; which he's asking about.

I agree they should offer it. When I bought my 2010 I asked them if they could get a dark blue FX4 with the gray bumpers and flares. As popular as the FX4's are I'd have to imagine they will offer it soon. Go to powerstroke.org or powerstrokenation.com and ask this question. More people can help you with the answer.

I would love to see it make a comeback. I loved the way the looked with sporty colors and all PTM, sportier grille options, sportier wheels, etc... I could care less about the shocks, etc... I would just pull it all off and redo the suspension my own way

 

They killed the FX4 as a trim line when they introduced the Cabellas package. I agree that there is way too much chrome on the new ones. I think the KR and HD are the only ones that don't have chrome bumpers, other than the XL. Such a shame!

 

No, I personally couldn't care less about the FX4 in the Super Duties, I just want the Harley Davidson package brought back out!!!

Mind you, at least now when I'm driving around in an 05' Harley I don't feel as bad when I see all the 2011s on the road that aren't Harleys.

Am I the only one who feels like the Harley trucks are gaudy? I had a buddy who had an 07 Harley Davidson, and the interior looked like it had been accessorized by a blind Mexican.

 

Yeah, never cared for the HD package either. But the stand alone FX4 was a nice looking rig.
