I would snag it I just looked at an 08 F350 CC KR LB that had 100k on it and they wanted 30k for it. Yes they cost more to repair and maintain but I won't give up my truck.

the early build date '05s have an issue with a snap ring in the transmission that can eventually break a hole through the case when it breaks. something to look into

I just went from an 07 SCrew to an '05 F250 Crew Cab Lariat 4x4 with the 6.0 PowerStroke. I agree with most of the advice above, and also recommend driving the SuperDuty around for a day or two before deciding, if your buddy will let you. The SuperDuty drives very differently from the F150, especially with the diesel. Make sure you're comfortable with it in your daily drive. Sure, it'll cost a little more to maintain, and if something breaks, it'll be more expensive to fix. It's worth it to me. (I LOVE my PowerStroke SuperDuty, btw...)

Oh yeah, another great resource for PowerStrokes: http://powerstrokehelp.com/

Just a brief discription. If he has the banks system then he's increased the stock HP. He's changed to aftermarket head bolts b/c with added HP the factory ones will stretch causing the heads to warp which is about $10k to fix if this happens.

$25k for an 05. i'd put another 2-3k and get an 08 with a 6.4 if it was me. i love my 6.0 and all but that's not a steal. you can find any 05+ 6.0 for that price lifted.

and studs and EGR delete is $2700 from the powerstroke shop here.

mixed breed, who did your tuning? i had innovative for a while, took it off when i got new tires so i didn't burn thru them.

edit: banks system, if it's tuned with banks don't even bother with that truck. they don't tune the tranny and when you add 100+ hp and 200+ torque thru the transmission your asking for **** to break. and it is not $10k to get head gaskets, even with new heads you'd be looking at 6k max.
