Glad I put on my flame suit! We've gone from having three Fords and a Subaru to having one Ford, two VW's, and a BMW. I doubt that our 2010 Edge will be replaced by a Ford when my wife is ready for a new car. She loves the BMW too! Here are some pictures.

Yeah, there were about 40 of them running around me when I took the pictures. They're almost tame. If I ever lose my job, I know where to go for dinner!

Wife want's a BMW, but I'd have to trade my 6.4L for it, and that ain't happenin'.

That gas pedal is as big as a 10ton dump truck's...

Thanks guys, no mods planned. Maybe a Juice Box JB4, which adds 80rwhp. The engine is rated at 306hp by BMW, but it's well known that the actual power at the crank is closer to 330hp. I think 410hp at the crank is more than enough for a car that only weighs 3600 lbs.

You could've at least gotten a diesel car...

I would've given my left nut for your old truck... oh well.

I'm not a fan of BMW's either. They are so hard to work on and they don't make anything easy to get at.

Oh my! I thought it was stick... with all the rugged look, I thought he'd opt for the special order manual tranny...

Well, then I take that back, I don't want your old truck... everything needs to be standard shift.

hey...just because somethng is German does not mean it's ****....what an insult! I am German American and abhor being related to that sickness. I own both American and German cars; the German cars very high quality (not that they don't have their share of problems like American or Japaneses cars but they are expensive to fix), but they are sure fun to drive!

I found that the more time and energy I spent on the truck, the more grief it gave me. The issue with the batteries draining constantly and the dealer doing nothing was the last straw. I decided that I just want a vehicle that I can drive and not have to worry about something breaking. I originally looked at some Mustangs and G35's and 350z's and Lexuses. I finally settled on a white 2008 BMW 335xi with tan leather interior. All I can say is wow. It may not have the raw power of the Mustang GT, but what the 3,0L twin turbo inline six lacks in power, it more than makes up for in handling (partly due to the awesome BMW AWD).

So, in short, I traded my 4wd twin turbo truck in for a AWD twin turbo car and cut my payment in half. For the first time in seven years, I have a car payment under $400 a month.
Sorry to see you go freeky as you have been such a mainstay here, but as you know I can totally relate...lol. Good luck with the BMW! I had a M3 and loved that thing....what a blast to drive. I am driving a Touareg right now (with the 4.2L V8 and air suspension) and the tight handling and quality is awesome, and I am buying my wife a BMW 328i too. Love those German cars. But hopefully you'll be back like I was, and still looking to come back again with another new Ford myself (Raptor Supercrew or F250 again). But loved your F250 (2nd favorite after mean....lol). Hope you still hang around!
