4.10s or 4.30s

I hate my 4:30's. My V10 gets stupid bad gas mileage. I hate getting 8mpg-10mpg driving like a grandma. The motor runs great but it kills my pocketbook.
If only I had a Cummins 8.3L 24V ISC engine to put in the truck..... Hmmm.....
Good thing my wife bought me one for Christmas!!
I guess I should start a new thread about my new motor instead of hijacking this one.... My appologies Mr. bnehila.

Please tell me you're not really thinking of swapping that POS into a truck

POS? Out of respect for my fellow f150online members that might have the "other" brand diesel motor, I will refrain from making powerjoke comments... And yeah, its going in the black truck...

I'm referring to the electronic 8.3L CDC engine. I don't really care if you're replacing a PSD or not. I don't even own a PSD anymore since I went Cummins. All I can say is have fun with the CAPS pump on that thing. I've got one on one of my test stands at work and its quite the POS. The fuel economy on them is also in the crapper. You'd be MUCH better off with a mechanical 8.3L or a later model 9.0L, though you'd hate the fuel economy of the 9.0L even more. Theres a reason we don't use them anymore. I can give you more specifics if you really need, but repairs on that engine are NOT cheap and it WILL happen.
FYI, that engine was originally made by CDC (Consolidated Diesel Corp), which was a joint venture between Case and Cummins, so yeah I've got some experience with them.

Yea 4.56s would of have been a better choice, I had 4.10s in my old f250 5.4L with 4.10s and that thing didnt have enough power at all unless I had it in over drive and kept the rpms up. But hopefully those 4.30s will work out for ya.
