New (to me) F250

So I went wheel and tire shopping for my 08 F150 in friday. Instead of getting wheels and tires I got this..I LOOOOOOOOOVE this truck. It had this awful camper shell on the back that I removed. Waiting on the tailgate from the previous owner if he will give it up. Otherwise I am gonna have to buy one.

Thanks. I am loving the long wheel base. Only thing I don't like about the truck is it doesn't have the turbo whistle I love to hear.

I have thought of that and a DPF delete. Only issue is the NC State inspection along with the ODB plug in thing they do. Not sure if that would cause it to fail.

The inspection procedure here in NC make it almost impossible for a good ole boy to pass a vehicle without passing the emissions test.

And the tow mirrors that it came with... Those mirrors are awful.

You won't pass emissions without the DPF. But, the kits are designed to be removable, so you can swap em when emissions time comes around.

Nice truck. You need to get some tow mirrors for is asap. Those winky dink work truck mirrors belong on an xl, I'm surprised yours didn't come with some from the factory being that its a lariat.

I am looking around ebay for the tow mirrors. It should already be wired for all the lights and everything correct. Just needs to be removed, plugged in, and go?. I do know I will need to get the switch for the auto extend if I want those.

I like the way you wheel and tire shop, I need to learn how to shop like you! Sweet truck man.

If your current mirrors are powered they should just plug in and play. Do not quote me though.

Nice score! Too bad you are down too far, or I'd be interested in the cap.

You are gonna love the 6.4L for it's power, but not for the emissions. I wasn't going to tune and keep the warranty, but my mileage is so bad with diesel prices being what they are, I don't drive my 6.4L unless I have to tow on the highway.

Watch this series of videos for some interesting inside views of the 6.4L.

And for sure ditch those flappy mirrors, because they don't belong on an XL either. I went with the older style towing mirrors as I thought they look better than the square ones now.
