Tried everything I can think of?

Anyone had this issue before? Code P0102. Tested wires, replaced maf after code wouldn't clear. So new maf in place. TPS tested good. Idle bypass clean. Air filter new. No vac leaks. Acting like bad coil. Thought maybe cat is blocked, but pressure feedback sensor should catch this no? Good pressure at the tail pipe. Thinking maybe brain issue? No not mine. Is there a pcm and a ecm in this unit? 96 F250 4.9 liter. Could the fuel pressure regulator cause the maf to keep coding? Reset with both the OBDll reader and by pulling the batt. connectors. Going to swap out coil with spare just to say I did.

Any clever folk out there? Thanks.

Hey there Midwest,

Definately OBDll, became manditory in 96. And I've got the plug on the lower dash. Maybe because I'm in Canada there was an earlier release date. This 96 4.9 was the only model year that they offered this emission/ignition system and engine. Replacing it with the 4.6 in 97. So whatdya think? There isn't any map sensor either with setup. I think the difference is MAF verus SD, the SD having a MAP sensor. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Howdy and welcome. While this is the F-250 section, the focus is more on the superduties and diesels. You'd get more traffic for the 300 in the pre '97 section.
