Mirror Replacment (F350)

Greetings:

Forgive me for asking a F350 question here, but I think the mirrors are the same.

I broke the mirror on my F350 SD and I'd like to replace and upgrade. They are the extended type with upper and lower mirrors, powered but not heated. My current does not have turn signals included. Is it possible to replace with ones that do, and will they work?

Many thanks

I belive it's been done but you have to run the wires for the accesories that you are adding. And yes the Super Duty mirrors are the same no matter if you have an F250 or F350.

Any Super Duty mirrors will work... Up to 2010. Not sure if the 11s will fit or not.

The doors didn't change for 11, neither did the mirrors.

i think their is a brand called "cool" or something of the sort. alot of 99-07 guys on powerstroke.org have been using their 08-10 mirrors for upgrades. IIRC it was around 200 for a set. really cheap and no one has had complaints yet.

Kool-Vue, and they are about $280ish per side here

Kool-Vue Passenger Side power/heated glass, with turn signal, manual extend/fold FD136ER-S
Kool-Vue Driver Side power/heated glass, with turn signal, manual extend/fold FD136EL-S

You can get them for about $270ish per pair if you get non heated, non power, with no signal lights. Basically they're your basic XL model towing mirror.

And that is how I got a set of '06ish mirrors for my '08 as I don't like the newer square mirrors.

i'm pretty sure they were cheaper than that, but it's been probably 6 months since i read the thread so i could be wrong. i wasn't saying you were going to get the nicest set available. i never did it because i didn't want to downgrade mirrors and not have painted mirrors like i had.

Its possible that they managed to get a group buy on them, but they'd have had to have ALOT of orders to get the price from $500 down to $200. They might have meant $200/mirror as thats more believeable. I haven't come across those mirrors for cheaper before, but the price is coming down. I could see the 03-07 mirrors for $200/pair with heat and lights though.

I like the LED's too...

The only thing I really like about '08+ mirrors is the ability to electrically extend and fold back the mirrors - that's pretty trick

i think most were buying the cheapest ones. i dunno either way that's the route i'd go if someone is looking to do it and not pay the high price for them at the dealer.
