Not to be a smart-alex... but you really should've had a tommy-gate and a 8 foot bed with that scab...

Not quite Ford tough...Well at least the cables are, thats actually pretty impressive that they didn't break.

Figured out part of my issues tonight while taking parts off the tailgate... has a big CHIANWAY stamp on it underneath the cover. Made in China.

Well, not going the 08+ route. Picked up a tailgate off an F-150 from the salvage yard today for $100. My uncle/body guy just had foot surgery, so hopefully it will get painted soon. Double checked that the new tailgate has FORD stamped into it.

Dang,.......if it did that to a Super Duty tailgate, can ya imagine what would have
happened to a Chevy HD tailgate?!
