The tunes I have from Innovative are all head gasket friendly tunes and I run them all the time. The Extreme Street tune is the one that I get my best milage out of 13.5-14/City and 16.5-18/Highway depending on how heavy my right foot is and the tow tune I am getting about 12-13.5 depending on if I am running into a head wind towing the 5er and how many hills I run into. The other thing you are going to need to get if you are running tunes are set of guages to monitor boost, trans temp, and EGT's so they don't get to high and start turning solid parts into liquid parts. I have seen EGT's as high as 1400* for short periods if I really stuff my foot into it with the Extreme Street, and EGT's as high as 1000* pulling hills with the 5er behind the truck using the tow tune. I would also invest in the Bully Dog intercooler boot and clamp upgrade kit so you done experience this at higher boost levels. The price they gave you to do the EGR delete is pretty much in line with what my dealer charged me to do mine with me buying a River City Diesel kit and them installing it for me.

How much were your innovative tunes?

I want to get the best economy really since I'm not doing much towing since summer is wrapping up until the boat needs to come out of the water.

The boots were something that powerstroke magic replaces also for that 750 I forgot to add but are you suggesting better clamps? I've heard the boots wear out easy also.

The gauges are the reason Im seeing about the livewire cuz I can monitor that stuff also but since I'm doing the 06 dash it won't work with my a pillar that has the handle so I'll probably just get a 3 pod pillar

For three tunes it was 165, yes I am saying replace the clamps as well as the boots. The one in the picture had 167k on it when it let go at 30lbs of boost pulling a hill with the 5er behind the truck. I was wrong it's not Bully Dog it's BD that makes the boot and clamp kit here is a link to the kit on Xtreme Diesel.

10/4 iLl be looking into those soon.

Just got word and now have a dilemma. I have 2 tuner options now

320 shipped for an sct sf3 With three custom innovative tunes (street, extreme street, and tow with engine brake) that may not be head safe and a cat delet pipe

Or

300 shipped for an sct live wire with tunes for a 6.4 that I can't use

Both are unlocked amd I have headsafe Spartan tunes that'll work on either. Either way I'll still need an egt probe/gauge

rims and headlights look good! and you're very lucky they didn't steal your truck all together. Houston is so bad about that, i had a friend with a lifted 03 250 fx4 all modded out and they did the door jam trick along with shoving a screwdrver in the ignition and they stole his truck just like that. It took 3 weeks to get it back

If you don't have key holes, how do you get in the truck if the batteries go dead?

Planning a set of wires hooked to the battery and placed under the bumper similar to a block heater so I can attach a battery and get enough juice to use the remote to open the door. Or just call AAA and wait.

Thanks guys and yea I think I'm leaning towards the sf3 for that reason mainly. I feel like having the livewire sitting out wouldn't be too good to leave around here.

So as soon as that guy get back to me I'm gonna be getting the sf3 and ordering some gauges. But worst case I have the livewire ready to go
