i searched on here and google and as far as i can tell its because of the CAI and/or tuner. im just looking for peoples input.. has this happened to anybody ? what did you do ? thanks for any info

just a little backround on the truck ..its an 08 f250 6.4 just added a k&n cai and superchips tuner

Does that mean the DPF is getting clogged? Could it be running to rich?

If you dealer is tuner friendly, shouldn't be a problem.

Personally I'd ditch the superchips and get a custom tune with the DPF/Cat delete then you don't have to worry none, and the motor runs cooler.

What is the spare tire recall?

How are the 6.4's after the DPF and EGR delete? I love this generation... I wouldn't mind a job 2 down the road

dpf cat delete voids the warranty and is illegal in my state.. im more concerned about the warranty but would have to put it back to stock for inspection once a year also the spare tire idk.. the dealer i bought it from called me and said they have a recall on the spare tire and they are going to replace it

Absolutely worth the money in fuel and how long the truck will then last. 1600 degree egt's through both turbos and heads will not let these trucks last 10 years from now. Never see over 1100 deg on a hard pull now. I don't run the big power numbers to keep my stock clutch happy, but even just 150+ HP makes the truck a rocket off the line, and my mileage went from 12 to 18.

Part of me would be torn on a '97 350 PSD and one of these. I like 2wd's and bet they could see some solid 3's on the highway
