If the trans goes boom go buy a BTS transmission.

Zach, that truck would be fun to mod and it would really **** off the neighbors with a full turbo back exhaust with no muffler and cat.

Yes, as long as it has been maintained properly, it should be a great truck.

Good call on the BTS... and I keep trying to convince him to do an exhaust, especially cause their neighbors are ****'s (really, they're from Germany) and hate the trucks. And, their driveway backs up to their house.

I'd hate to truck shop in your area if thats what trucks are going for, as they are on the high side. FYI I bought my 06 F250 3 months ago for $30k with 25k on it. It is also a CCLB 4x4 loaded lariat truck. Mine booked out at only $32k with the miles it had. The $30k price also included an additional 3yr powertrain warranty as well.
Didn't know they used and Xcal, all the trucks I ever new about had a chip from Wildman. Yes the prices are a higher up here and I would have to go to Texas to get a better deal and most of the cheap ones up here are ragged out plow trucks. I picked mine up when diesel was $4.99/gal three years ago for 14k plus the difference on my F150 at the time and right now the truck is worth more than what I owe which does not happen very often.

you need a vacation? willing to travel a tiny bit?

a real nice 99 here on Craigslist

or perhaps Texas? PSD's are a dime a dozen back home. You can get a nice truck for decent money. Especially if you shop around Dallas or Houston. Can't hurt. A plane ticket isn't much when you find a great truck

edit: FWIW, shipping a vehicle is about $1,100 oversea, and about $700 by truck. So probably not an option to pick on up in Hawaii

Not really, considering that the trucks up north have rust and these trucks dont. One of the ads had a 02 for 7500. Dont think thats overpriced. Plus this is there asking price so you can get most of em down another 2000. The KR for 12,500 seems like a pretty good deal.

Only issue is that Ford never made a KR with the 7.3.

where is the iron mountain? 32k is not "fairly" priced for a 6.0 no matter the miles. at that point you are in 2008+ 4x4 PSD territory.
