Wanted: 6.0 powerstroke
Howdy everybody...I am tired of everybody talkin smack on the 6.0!![Dead Horse](https://www.f150online.com/forums/images/smilies/DeadHorse.gif)
So, I am gunna buy one and let my Dad soup it up...
I have a 09 f150 sc 4wd auto, on the ranch we have three 7.3 diesels 4wd and they run great...Dad has had them since they were new...We also have a 2005 f350 4wd v10 and a 2010 4wd v10 (dads).
We have never had a 6.0 but I am gunna get one...Its just gunna be used on the ranch so it doesn't have to be anything fancy...
It has to be 4wd though...would prefer an automatic...anything from a cab and chassis (its gunna get a bale bed anyway) to a crew cab don't matter to me..
Thanks

So you've never owned a 6.0 powered truck or dealt with one and you're going to go out and buy one just because everyone you're sick of people talking smack about them? Ever think there is reason people talk smack about the 6.0?
Take it from a guy that owns one and has experienced just about every problem that a 6.0 can have. Buying one is a commitment not for the faint of heart or lite wallet. These trucks are expensive to maintain and fix when they go boom and they need to be driven hard and constantly to keep them alive. If the truck is going to sit for extended periods of time the first thing I would do is yank the VG turbo and replace it with a fixed vane turbo, head gaskets, ARP studs, EGR delete, with a programmer, then drive the ever living snot out of the truck.

I am sorry I didn't know how more plain I could have been...and I don't appreciate the arrogance in the diction.
Let me put it this way: I am going out to buy a 6.0 and I am going to soup that bastard up. I am not of faint heart and no my wallet is not light...My Dad is a badass diesel mechanic and he has built a couple 7.3s and souped them up so I thought I would give him a little project so he doesn't get bored. In my post I wasn't seeking advice about the 6.0 I didn't ask anybodys past history with one. I asked if anybody had one for sale...
So, AGAIN, DOES ANYBODY HAVE A 6.0 4WD AUTO FOR SALE?

So - you trash one of our more experienced members who actually owns a 6.0 and offered you some very pertinent advice? Way to go, good luck getting any more advice around here with that attitude.
I think there's a better place for you - this is primarily a F-150 forum. You need a Powerstroke forum that has a lot of modders on it.

Wow. You in the 80's? "souped up" lol.
Your attitude is butt. I hope your search for a terrible 6.0 is fruitful and you and your thick wallet daddy "soup" that truck up to keep it running.
I own a 6.0 and after $8k in engine upgrades, I just am sitting back waiting for the tranny to let go.
You should lighten your Wallet on a 6.4. Would hate for a fine truck like a 03-07 to have a owner like you anyway.

Wow, dude, just wow, I'm glad you don't work for me with that attitude.
Anyway. The only thing in common with a 7.3L and a 6.uhoh Leaker is they both have 8 holes, burn diesel fuel, and fit in the superduty chassis. The list is much shorter of who can build a badass 6.0L correctly vs a 7.3L.
